Heating Engineer

About the role

H&A Group is recruiting a Heating Engineer to service and carry out response maintenance in NIHE and private properties across Derry, Limavady and Strabane. The role reports to the Foreman. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with an on-call rota and flexibility required, including covering other office locations when needed. What you’ll do

• Carry out gas/oil maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Complete annual gas/oil servicing in NIHE and private properties
• Inspect and carry out safety checks on gas boilers
• Carry out safety checks and servicing on oil appliances
• Undertake other duties as requested by management and provide flexible cover when required

What we’re looking for

• Either Gas Safe registered with experience servicing domestic gas systems, OR a time-served or qualified plumber
• Experience fault-finding on domestic central heating systems and boilers
• Full driving licence
• Available for call-outs on a rotational basis
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure, use your own initiative and be flexible
• Desirable: valid CSR card
